Shri Ram & Ram Darbar Paintings
Ram Darbar, Ram Lalla, Ram Sita and Shri Ram with his dhanush, framed and ready to hang in your pooja room or living room.
Our Shri Ram range runs from the Ram Lalla idol of Ayodhya in gold frames to Ram Darbar, Ram Sita and modern line art of Ram with his bow. Each one is a laminated, coated print in a frame with the hooks already fitted, so you can put it up the day it arrives.
Ram Darbar, Ram Lalla or Shri Ram with dhanush
A Ram Darbar shows Lord Ram and Sita Mata seated together, with Lakshman beside them and Hanuman ji at their feet. One of our Ram Darbar paintings also includes Bharat and Shatrughna, and the Tanjore Radiance design is a print in the Tanjore style, rich with gold. Many families pick a Ram Darbar for the main pooja room because it shows the whole family together.
Ram Lalla is Lord Ram as a child, the form of the idol in the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, which was consecrated in January 2024. Our Ram Lalla frames show the idol on his golden throne, decked with flower garlands, several of them in gold frames.
Then there is Shri Ram on his own, holding his dhanush (bow). The traditional designs show him drawing the bow before Ayodhya in golden light, or standing in front of the Ram Mandir. The modern ones are simpler: a blue line drawing, a neon blue silhouette on black, or a soft watercolour with Shri Ram calligraphy. We also have Ram and Sita above the Ayodhya temple, and Ram, Sita and Lakshman with Hanuman in warm orange tones.
Where to hang a Ram Darbar or Shri Ram photo
Vastu traditionally favours the north-east corner of the home, then the east or north wall, so that you face east or north while you pray. The south wall, a wall shared with a bathroom and the space under the stairs are usually avoided. In the pooja room, hang the frame at eye level or just above the mandir shelf.
No separate pooja room? The living room works well, and a Ram Darbar or Ram Lalla frame on the main wall or facing the front door is how many homes do it. The line art and silhouette designs suit a study or office too. Plenty of families also keep a Ganesha painting near the entrance, and you’ll find other deities among our god photo frames.
Choosing a size
Most of our Shri Ram designs are 14 × 20 inch, a comfortable size for a pooja room wall or the space above a mandir shelf. The line painting, the orange dhanush profile and Shri Ram with the Ayodhya temple are 16 × 16 inch squares, handy for a small wall. Two Ram Darbar designs also come in 14 × 26 inch, and the Ayodhya Ram Lalla frame comes in a big 24 × 34 inch for a large living room wall. Every size is listed below.
Gifting and care
A Ram Darbar is a traditional griha pravesh gift, and a Ram Sita frame suits a wedding. People also give one for Ram Navami, or for Diwali, which traditionally marks Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya. Delivery is free across India and takes 5 to 10 days, so order a week or two before the date.
Wipe the laminated print with a soft dry cloth, and keep the diya and agarbatti a little away from the frame so the smoke doesn’t darken it over time. If a frame reaches you damaged, we replace it.

Can we keep a Ram Darbar photo at home?
Yes. Ram Darbar is a common god photo in Indian homes, usually kept in the pooja room or on a clean living room wall. Because it shows Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman together, many families see it as a picture of a close, devoted family.
Which direction should a Ram Darbar photo be placed?
Vastu traditionally suggests the north-east corner, or the east or north wall, so that you face east or north while praying. The south wall and walls shared with a bathroom are usually avoided. These are traditions, so follow what your family does.
Can Ram Darbar be placed in the living room?
Yes, many homes without a pooja room keep it there. Pick a clean wall, ideally on the east or north side, hang it at eye level or a little higher, and keep it away from the TV, the shoe rack and the bathroom door.
What is the difference between Ram Lalla and Ram Darbar?
Ram Lalla is Lord Ram as a child, the form of the idol in the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Ram Darbar shows Lord Ram as king, seated with Sita Mata, with Lakshman beside them and Hanuman ji at their feet. Both are kept at home, so choose the form your family prays to.
Can we gift a Ram Darbar to someone?
Yes. A Ram Darbar or Ram Lalla frame is a traditional gift for a housewarming, Ram Navami or Diwali, and Ram Sita suits a wedding. Ours come framed and ready to hang, with free delivery across India.
Ram Darbar ki photo kis disha mein lagani chahiye?
